NOBODY MAKES 5-AXIS EASIER THAN HURCO

Ten years ago, we set a goal as a company to manufacture the best 5-axis CNC machining centers with the best control and software in the industry. The reason is simple: we determined 5-axis technology would make our customers more profitable. Our 5-axis CNC machining centers, equipped with the integrated Hurco control, are simply the best in the industry. Nobody does 5-axis better than Hurco. And nobody gets you from print to part faster.

CNC LATHES THAT DELIVER

While Hurco is better known for our mills and control technology, our CNC lathe line of products deserves your attention. We’ve approached the design and development of our CNC lathe line in the same methodical, user- centric way we develop our mills and control technologies. Bottom line: each feature of our CNC turning centers is designed to maximize productivity because our primary goal is to deliver manufacturing technology that helps our customers increase profitability.

Hurco Control

From Print to Part to Profit

The diagram to the left illustrates the unique advantage of the Hurco CNC machine control. It is the most versatile control in the industry: equally powerful whether you choose to use the conversational blue path or the NC programming green path. But it doesn’t stop there. Hurco’s patented UltiMotion software provides fast, smooth cutting to get your parts out the door quickly.

Whether you own a job shop, you’re just starting your business, or you are in charge of a high production operation for a big company, the integrated control of our machine tools will prove to be a powerful asset.
Nobody gets a part concept from your mind to finished metal part faster. That’s Mind Over Metal. That’s Hurco.

Humston - Hurco History

Brief history of the start up of Hurco

In 1968 Gerald Roch, who was a salesman for Humston Machinery, asked Ed Humston (owner of Humston Machinery) if the two of them could start a manufacturing company to make some fabricating equipment. Gerald had a customer in Wabash, IN, who said their biggest problem area was in their press brake department. It took too long to bend parts that had several different sizes of bends in one part. Gerald Roch came up with the first programmable adjustable back gauge that would move automatically to a new dimension with each stroke of the press brake. This system was named "Autobend". Gerald Roch and Ed Humston then used the first two initials from HUMSTON and the first initial from ROCH, and the first two initials from Company to get the name HURCO! So HURCO stands for Humston and Roch Company!

Humston - Hurco History

Brief history of on start up of Hurco

HURCO built a few coil reels and coil air feeds to start but then they concentrated on the Hurco Autobend Gauging system that really got the company going. In 1974 Hurco introduced their first CNC Mill with the first ever CNC conversational control in the world. Humston Machinery sold the first Autobend and first Hurco CNC Mill.

For 50 years Humston Machinery has represented Hurco in the state of Indiana. Over these years we have built lasting relationships with many of our customers. Ranging from small job shops, machine shops and big manufacturing houses. They have come to rely on Humston and Hurco as their one source to help solve their manufacturing needs.
